TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CONTRACT

The Contract will be between the Client and Manor Mews. The Contract will be entered into when Manor Mews issues the confirmation form and will be subject to all the booking conditions. Please read carefully.

BOOKING AND TERMS

Thank you for submitting your booking request. We will review your request and will contact you shortly to confirm the booking. Please print this page for your records together with your unique booking request number. Please note that all bookings are provisional until confirmed in writing and deposit received.

The party leader must be at least 18 years of age at the time of booking.  The party leader must be authorised to make the booking on the basis of the booking conditions by all other members of the party.  By making the booking the party leader confirms that he/she is so authorised and that all party members agree that the booking is subject to the booking conditions.

Single-sex groups must be declared at time of booking.

Bookings are not transferable to third parties.

Terms and prices stated are per week unless otherwise indicated and are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.

A deposit of 25% is required to reserve your booking. The balance of the holiday must be paid not later than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. If the full balance is not paid on time then we reserve the right to cancel the holiday booking and retain the deposit as compensation.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the holiday price will include all charges for water, gas, electricity and oil.

A security deposit of £250 will be obtained from you in the form of a pre-authorisation on a credit/debit card on you arrival.  An additional £500 will be required from single-sex groups of more than 4 persons.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our own discretion and without justification.

CANCELLATION

The letting is made on the basis that the property is fit for purpose. In the unlikely event that the property is damaged or rendered uninhabitable then we reserve the right to cancel the booking with a full refund.

If the hirer has cause to cancel, change dates or cut short a holiday then please notify us first by telephone and then in writing. All deposits paid for Manor Mews are non returnable and the hirer will be liable for the full cost of the holiday if a cancellation or alteration occurs unless we are notified as follows;

  1. i) Prior to 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. In which case the hirer will forfeit the deposit only.
  2. ii) Less that 8 weeks before the start of the holiday and it is possible for us to re-let the property. In which case the deposit will be forfeited plus an administration charge of £50 plus VAT. The balance will be returned to the hirer. If the property is not re-let then the hirer will forfeit the full cost of the holiday.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

The security deposit will be used to cover the cost of minor breakages, extra cleaning, breach of terms and conditions including disturbances caused by any member of your group.

An additional £500 will be required from single-sex groups of more than 4 persons.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the accommodation, furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects are left in the same state of cleanliness and order as was found at the start of the holiday and where multiple cottages have been booked in the correct cottage. We reserve the right to make a proportionate charge in the event of the hirer failing to comply. The hirer is responsible for serious loss or damage which occurs to the property or its contents as a result of their negligence during their occupancy and responsible for paying appropriate compensation in addition to the security deposit held.  Serious damage to the property must be reported to the owners immediately.

The hirer must not use the accommodation or allow its use for any dangerous, offensive, noisy, illegal or immoral activities or carry on there any act that may be a nuisance or annoyance to any neighbours. We ask that you abide by our 12 o’clock midnight curfew as this will affect your security deposit.

PERIOD OF HIRE

Arrival and departure times must be adhered to. They form part of the booking conditions and any stay that extends over this period will be subject to a charge being made for additional days. Arrival time is from 4pm as stated in the hirer’s arrival instructions on the first day of the holiday and departure time is by 10.00am on the last day of the holiday.

The hirer will be issued with a key code or keys to the accommodation prior to the holiday commencing.

The hirer must leave internal keys for doors and windows where found (in door or window). Failure to do so will incur the cost of changing locks and production of a new set of keys.

USE OF PROPERTY

The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated in the advertised details. The property will be used for personal and domestic purposes only. If the hirer wishes to hold any function or celebrations exceeding this limit it must seek written permission.

We reserve the right to ask the hirer and his or her party to leave the property (without compensation) if there is a serious breach of these booking conditions.

Smoking is not permitted in any part of the property at any time under any circumstances.

No pets of any kind are permitted in the following properties: The Manor House, The Milking Parlour, The Henhouse, The Strawhouse and The Sheepshed.

Dogs are permitted in The Old Dairy, The Stables, The Old Feedhouse, The Piggery and The Hayloft.  An extra charge of £25 per dog per holiday will be made.  Please refer to our separate dog booking terms & conditions.

The hirer must not use the accommodation or allow its use for any dangerous, offensive, noisy, illegal or immoral activities or carry on there any act that may be a nuisance or annoyance to any neighbours.

The hirer and his or her party must comply with any reasonable regulations relating to the accommodation of which the hirer has written notice. Such regulations may be found in our welcome folder and would include any local conditions regarding parking, waste disposal, recycling and so on.

We can not guarantee that hot tubs if part of your rental will be at a usable temperature on your arrival.  To maintain our high hygiene standards if the water has to be changed there is an overnight heating period. Hot tubs are not to be used between midnight & 7am.

We ask that you do not use blu-tac or sellotape to stick posters or decorations on our painted walls.

Any abusive behaviour to our staff either verbal or physical will be held as a serious offence and shall be treated as so with the police being called.

COMPLAINTS

Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the property we ask that it be notified promptly to Manor Mews to give us the opportunity to correct it for you.  In the case of a serious problem please also confirm in writing.

RIGHT OF ENTRY

We reserve the right to access the property and surrounds at any reasonable time during your occupancy for the purpose of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

WARRANTY

Manor Mews does not warrant and is not responsible for the accuracy of any verbal information given or statements made by its employees or agents.

 

LIABILITY

Except as indicated below, we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage, or for injury sustained by the hirer or members of his or her party during their stay at Manor Mews.  We exclude liability for loss or damage to any belongings, or for death or injury sustained to the hirer or members of his or her party during their stay at Manor Mews except to the extent that such injury or loss or damage to any belongings is caused by the negligence or default or breach of the owners of any duty.

We strongly advise that you take out cancelation and travel insurance for your holiday.
