We are delighted that you are coming for a well-deserved break at Manor Mews in these testing times. We understand that you may have questions or concerns following the easing of lockdown but we want to assure you that your safety and that of your family and friends is our highest priority. We have put in place a set of procedures that tightly adhere to current guidelines issued by Central Government and industry regulators.
Below is information regarding our new procedures to ensure your safety and that of our team in light of COVID-19. If you have any questions about these procedures and policies, please get in touch.
Where does our booking stand with regards to Covid-19?
As with all holiday bookings, we strongly advise that you take out a holiday insurance policy that provides you with suitable cover including a provision for cancellation due to Covid-19.
What happens if the Government forces us into another lock down?
If the Government announces restrictions to your specific postcode area, Manor Mews postcode area or on a National scale, you will be entitled to one of the following:
- A full refund
- Move your booking to alternative available dates
- Receive a voucher for the amount paid to be used on a future stay (valid for 12 months).
What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?
If you need to cancel your holiday due to Covid-19 we ask that you inform us as soon as possible so that we can make your dates available and resell. As your cancellation has been the result of Covid-19 you will be entitled to the options mentioned above.
What we are doing to reduce the risk to our guests?
Each property will undergo a risk assessment individually in accordance with UK Central Government guidelines, the Health and Safety Executive and the Centre for Disease Control.
The cottage may have a number of non-essential items removed from it; such as board-games, surplus crockery, hair dryers, decorative soft furnishings such as cushions and throws to reduce risk of infection so it may look a little different to the photographs on this website when you get there.
All cutlery, glasses, plates and kitchen-ware will be checked and if necessary washed prior to your arrival, however, we recommend as an additional precautionary measure that you wash the items again prior to use.
There will be a hand sanitiser or liquid soap available for you at the property, the exact location will vary from property to property.
Will you be able to use our shared facilities?
Under the current Government recommendations please note that our laundry facilities will be closed. If you have an emergency please contact Shirley on 01485 528418.
Are our Hot Tubs still available to guests?
Yes our hot tubs are still available for use. Where applicable our hot tubs will be cleaned and sanitised according to the guidance and standards set by relevant governing bodies (e.g.; BISHTA and SPATA) after each guests departure. Therefore please be aware that they may not be back up to optimum temperature upon your arrival.
How we are protecting our staff?
To help our housekeeping staff during this time our check-out will be by 9am and check-in will be after 5pm to allow extra time for cleaning.
With the risk of asymptotic infection issues, we will not be entering the property during your stay unless there is a major issue such as an electrical/heating/hot water stops working. In these cases our staff will be in appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and will remain for a minimum amount of time.
For smaller issues such as a light bulb blowing etc, we will deliver one to you for replacement.
What should I be aware of pre-travel?
Government guidelines are that if you have symptoms of COVID-19 then you should self-isolate and not travel.
If you arrive and have symptoms, you will be politely asked to return home.
If you develop symptoms whilst you are here at Manor Mews you will be asked to return home.
What can I expect upon arrival to Manor Mews?
All barns operate on a key code system. On arrival at Manor Mews, your property will have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, will be unlocked with your personal entrance key code for the duration of your stay will be left for you, we apologise in advance that they will be no face-to-face contact.
The only exception to this is The Old Dairy as this property has keys, but again, the property will be unlocked and the sanitised keys will be available for you.
What do I need to do upon departure?
The following steps will ensure that possible viral load is reduced and enhance safety for our cleaning team members.
Please empty bins at the property and place in the council emptied waste bins located in the centre of Manor Mews, please note our green bins are for re-cycling and black bins for all other waste. If you are unsure where these are, please leave bags tied up just outside the property.
Please open any windows you are able to reach – weather dependent – to allow the property to “air” prior to the cleaning teams arrival.
As we need to wash kitchen-ware prior to our next guests arrival, it would be extremely helpful to us if you could fill and start the dishwasher with a full load of some of these items!
Following your departure, please let us know if you or any of your group develop COVID-19 symptoms, a high temperature or a new persistent cough. This will enable us to alert our team and take the necessary precautions.
During your stay, if you, or one of your party is experiencing the above, then please contact 119 or book a test at nhs.uk/coronavirus. If symptoms are severe please call 999 and ask for assistance.
