The Great Barn, which dates back to 1848, is full of atmosphere and warmth – this beautiful Barn is never cold as it is heated by an extremely sophisticated Biomass system. As you walk towards the entrance of the Barn you will see to your left a delightful enclosed Garden – full of a variety of shrubs and trees which flourish at all times of the year – for you and your guests to enjoy on your Wedding day.

As you enter this lovely venue, you will immediately be drawn to the twinkling of all the fairy lights high up in the ceiling and the backdrop of a fairly light wall. The Great Barn is your “blank canvas” to decorate as you wish and to make your dreams come true on the most important day of your life and, also, to reflect the personalities of you both; to share with your family and friends.

Weddings are held at Manor Mews on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the venue is yours from 12 noon the day before your wedding until 12 noon on the day after your wedding. Manor Mews also have ten beautifully appointed self-catering properties and these are available to rent either on a Friday arrival for three nights or a Monday arrival for four nights. The cottages, including The Manor House, can accommodate in total up to 82 guests and you may choose the number of properties you wish to reserve, it is not compulsory to book them all.

The Great Barn is licensed for Civil Ceremonies, there is also the quaint All Saint’s Church, Tattersett, which is visible from The Great Barn, just a short walk along a footpath – there is vehicular access too.

The venue can seat 150 guests without a ceremony and 120 with a ceremony and for the evening, 200 guests.

Since The Great Barn was renovated and launched as a Wedding Venue in 2015, Manor Mews chose to work exclusively with Unique Norfolk Venues; who are solely responsible for providing all the catering for our guests. Their work ethic is second to none and their attention to detail superb, they are always consistently top of their game and every couple whom have hosted their Wedding in The Great Barn has been so delighted by the way in which they, and their family and friends, have been looked after and made to feel so uniquely special.
